The National Communications Authority (NCA) has approved three telecommunications companies to move to the next stage of Ghana’s 5G spectrum licensing process.
The approval follows the completion of eligibility and technical assessments. The three successful applicants are Scancom Plc (MTN Ghana), Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited (Telecel Ghana), and Goal Telecommunications Ltd.
However, InfraVa Ltd, the fourth company that submitted an application, did not qualify.
The three qualified companies will now advance to the next phase, where their Best Price Offers will be opened and ranked.
The NCA said the successful applicants will be notified separately of the date, time, and venue for the opening and ranking process.
