Bank of Ghana Flags 20 Unlicensed Digital Loan Platforms

The Bank of Ghana has cautioned the public against 20 loan platforms providing digital credit services without proper authorization from the central bank.

In a statement, the central bank explained that these activities go contrary to its Directive for Digital Credit Service Providers in Ghana (September 2025) and other relevant laws.
According to the central bank, the following unlicensed digital credit service providers (in no particular order) have been identified:


1. Adamfo Loan
2. Gh Loans
3. Gh Loans Pro
4. Agyapacredit
5. Amanfi Loan
6. Hasty Credit
7. Acro Cash
8. Newgrey Money Tree
9. Ayalend
10. Omanpesa
11. Bucks Now
12. Popo Cedi
13. Cedi Go
14. Ready Money
15. CGrab
16. Sika Tap
17. DumboCash
18. Sikapa Loan
19. F Cash
20. Zigwe Loan

The central bank cautioned the public, banks, Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions (SDIs), and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) against engaging in or facilitating the activities of these unlicensed loan providers, adding that it is collaborating with relevant state institutions to take appropriate action against them.

The BoG therefore urged members of the public who are aware of, or have information about, the activities of these unlicensed loan providers to report them, while reiterating its commitment to maintaining stability in the financial sector.
