Access Bank (Ghana) PLC has announced the successful completion of the sale of 12,085,318 of its ordinary shares by its parent company, Access Bank PLC.
The transaction, announced on July 15, 2026, was in accordance with all requisite regulatory approvals, including the no-objection of the Bank of Ghana and represents 7.44 percent of the Bank’s issued ordinary shares.
According to the bank,the sale attracted strong participation from a well-diversified pool of investors including pension funds, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals.
A development the Bank believes reflects the continued investor interest in it and the confidence in its long-term prospects.
Speaking after the sale,Managing Director of Access Bank (Ghana) PLC, Ms. Pearl Nkrumah, stated that the transaction reflects the bank’s continued commitment to deepening local ownership and liquidity in its shares.

“This transaction reflects our continued commitment to deepening local ownership and liquidity in our shares, consistent with the strategic priorities. We remain focused on converting the scale we have built into sustained value for all our stakeholders,” she stated.
