Impact Food Hub, Absa Wrap Up Agribusiness Launchpad 2.0 Training

The Impact FoodHub in collaboration with Absa Bank has organized an intense 3 day training dubbed Agribusiness Launchpad 2.0 aimed at providing support to startups within the agribusiness space and equipping them with the skills needed to scale both locally and globally .

The training took place from the 5th – 7th August 2026 and brought together key stakeholders including researchers, agripreneurs,policy makers and other key stakeholders across the value chain.

Delivering her remarks,Convener of the Agribusiness Launchpad 2.0 and Founder of Impact Food Hub,Dr Mavis Owureku-Asare urged participants of the trading to leverage the opportunities the training presents and build businesses that will dominate locally and put Ghana on the global stage as well.

Dr Mavis Owureku-Asare also added that Agricultural sector holds the key to helping us overcome the challenge we have with employment in the country .

The agriculture sector employs a number of people, including the youth. We are saddled with unemployment in this country, but the agriculture sector holds the key to helping us overcome that challenge with employment, because it’s such a huge area.”she added

Also speaking at the event ,Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Absa Bank Ghana, Nana Essilfuah Tamakloe, spoke on the partnership between Absa and Impact Food Hub, giving the assurance that it will not only be a one time thing but rather it will continue for years to come and leave a lasting, positive impact on participants.

The Agribusiness Launchpad and Accelerator Program 2.0 is a three-day event that was organized by Impact Food Hub in partnership with Absa Bank Ghana and the GUBA Diaspora Network, with the aim of equipping agripreneurs and startups with scaling strategies, expert insights, and investor connections.
