The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ghana has announced the temporary closure of the of the VIP Lounge at the Accra International Airport.
In a statement released on Friday,April 3,2026
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that this is to allow for a scheduled renovation exercise aimed at enhancing the safety, comfort and overall functionality of the facility.
The Ministry added that the Lounge will hence be closed from Friday, 3rd April 2026 and the facility is expected to be reopened for use on Friday, 10th April 2026.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry added that the planned renovation forms part of government’s efforts to upgrade key national infrastructure and improve service delivery to high-level dignitaries and official guests.
The Ministry then apologized to the general public for any inconvenience this may cause and reiterated its commitment to delivering efficient and high-quality public service.
