Giving her remarks as the Special Guest of Honor, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration of Ghana Nana Oye Bampoe Addo stressed on the need for citizens and the public to hold public officials accountable when it comes to the management of public resources.
She reminded citizens that it is their core responsibility to ensure that public resources are put to good use.

Every single minute, every single day, you have to hold us accountable because we have been elected and appointed to serve the interests and welfare of the people of Ghana and so it is very important that you hold us accountable, you watch us, you make sure that the financial resources are being judiciously applied, to make sure that we are able to determine what your priorities are and when we’re determining what your priorities are, you’re also part of that. It is cardinal and important that you hold us accountable and that we understand and appreciate that we are holding this power for and on behalf of the people of Ghana.“

Also speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Peace and Love Hospitals,Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, outlined the institution’s vision to establish a comprehensive cancer center aimed at addressing all cancer-related diseases.
She explained that the initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on Ghanaians and encourage patients to access quality treatment locally, rather than traveling abroad.

What we’ve decided to do is to establish the first stand-alone comprehensive cancer centre of excellence. So the Otumfoc Osei Tutu(II)comprehensive cancer centre of excellence with a global health catalyst team from Harvard, UPenn, Pittsburgh, UC Davis, University of Washington and John Hopkins. We are establishing this centre at Kwaso near Kumasi. It’s the Otumfoc centre and it’s going to see all cancers. Why do our people have to travel to India, to Germany, to America, to UK for treatment? Why? A lot of our people by the time they get there, it’s too late. So instead of them coming back, their bodies are brought back.
How many of us can do that trip? So we need to be able to establish our own centre to treat the numerous numbers of breast cancers, cervical cancer, ovarian cancers, prostate cancer, childhood cancer, colorectal cancer, all the cancers. So we are using the breast cancer platform to do this for our people. It’s something that we can do leave us for posterity for our children and our children’s children so that we don’t have to travel outside for treatment.
By using the same high technology, the same AI, we can do the same treatment that is being done in Harvard, that is being done in John Hopkins, right here in our country.

The GSA Manager Delta Airline, Eloina Baddoo also spoke on the company’s plan for 2026 financial year ahead of its 20th anniversary celebration later this year reminiscing on some past achievements of the company.

So 2026 is a special year for Delta. We turned 20 years old. We were the first US carrier to launch flight operations into Africa and we are glad that 20 years on we continue to be the market leader in everything that we do.As you know about two years ago I believe we introduced a new aircraft into the market, the Airbus A330-900neo. It’s doing amazingly well, we’re happy about that. Another area of growth for us is last year, last December, we introduced NAXTA flights from Atlanta to Accra. So that’s a seasonal flight that we have and we are just looking forward to going more in the country and the region.“

According to the organizers, the event is an annual gathering that brings together leading women from diverse industries to celebrate their achievements, connect, exchange ideas, share resources, and empower one another.
