High Court Issues Bench Warrant for Gold Trader as GoldBod Suspends Dominic Bonsu Ventures Licence

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has suspended the gold trading licences of Dominic Bonsu Ventures with immediate effect.

This was made known to the public in a notices issued on July 24, 2026 where the GoldBod Compliance Directorate cited their breach of their licence terms and conditions as well as trading directives issued by the Board under the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140) as the reason for the suspension.

The Board further disclosed that it is currently seeking the proprietor of Dominic Bonsu Ventures in connection with ongoing enforcement proceedings following the issuance of Bench Warrant for the arrest of the proprietor by the High Court, Accra.

GoldBod added that it is working closely with the appropriate law enforcement agencies to execute the warrant.

As part of the consequences of the bread,the board added that Dominic Bonsu Ventures is prohibited from engaging in the purchase, sale, aggregation, transportation, or any other transaction involving gold with immediate effect.

Goldbod then warned all stakeholders to forwith forthwith all “trading, commercial dealings, or other business engagements” adding that “Any person or entity found facilitating, assisting, or engaging in gold transactions with Dominic Bonsu Ventures during the period of suspension shall be liable to the appropriate enforcement and regulatory measures under the Ghana Gold Board Act,2025 (Act 1140).

GoldBod stated that it remains committed to ensuring strict compliance with the laws, licence conditions, and trading directives governing Ghana’s gold trading sector and will continue to take decisive enforcement action against all persons and entities that undermine the integrity, transparency, and orderly operation of the industry.
