The Management and VIP JEOUN Transport has announced an increase in fare prices effective, Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
In a post made on Facebook, Management explained that this decision is long overdue and should have been taken on March 14,2025 but was suspended after consideration on March 18,2025.
The Transport company added that this is going to be the first time in 2 years since the company last revised its prices.
Speaking to the media, the General Manager , Adakabri Frimpong Manso stated that although it is yet to convene a meeting with the company’s stakeholders after a meeting with the minister earlier today, the decision to increase prices still stands as at now.
“Together with my director, Mr. Kusi, we have met up with the minister. The minister has delivered a message, and we have to go and convene a meeting, an extraordinary meeting of all directors, and then take it from there. But yes, it is true that we have announced price increases, and those price increases are on the board.We will still await what the president has got to tell us. But then, what we have already announced stands. But then, we will communicate to the directors what the transport minister has said.” Adakabri said
He added that he is optimistic that what comes out from that meeting will put the company in “…a situation where the company will be strong economically, profitably, and then reinvest into the fleet so that we can serve the teaming, travelling public.”
The price increases is expected to affect but Standard Tours and Executive Coaches.
